Tour our grounds and get to know what makes Bens Lake special with local guide and experienced Wildlife Conservation Biologist Josh Lindsay. Learn about the ins and outs of recreational fishing, practice your casting and delve head first into fishing the eloustreous Rainbow Trout to catch your dinner. Learn the proper handling techniques of Rainbow Trout and get to know the rich history behind Prince Edward Island’s rivers and the fish that swim in them.
Resident and lifelong Commercial Fisherman Darren “The Caretaker” Martin will be ready and waiting for you and your catch at the cleaning station. Share stories and laughs with his islander charm as he demonstrates the propper way to clean and fillet a Rainbow Trout. Learn about the anatomy of the fish and put your skills to the test cleaning your own.
Once your fish are cleaned and ready for the grill, venture over to our large open fire pit where Professional Chef, Charcuterie Expert and Duck Daddy Jordan Liantzakis will be waiting for you. Enjoy a delicious meal prepared in the traditional French method Trout “en papillote” with fire roasted PEI spuds and a delicious assortment of seasonal veg.
